It's my territory – Parakeet and the crow

This image of a parakeet and a crow was captured on a cloudy day during one of my regular visits to a reservoir area in Visakhapatnam. I was searching for spotted owls among the palm trees when I began hearing the unmistakable chatter of parakeets all around. They were darting from one palm tree to another—parakeets everywhere, filling the air with their vibrant energy.
Their vivid colours always fascinate me, and I gradually moved toward a dead palm tree where a few parakeets had made burrows. I was trying to get closer shots of them flying in and out of the tree, hoping to capture the moment their wings spread wide during landing—those instances often make for stunning photographs.
Suddenly, a common crow appeared and began teasing one of the parakeets. In a flash, the parakeet retaliated, and I managed to capture the interaction. The entire moment lasted no more than 2–3 seconds, but it was enough to document this brief display of territorial behaviour between the crow and the parakeet.
