While hiking through the Pine forests of Lamahatta in search of a hidden lake I chanced across this beautiful formation of Ferns which provided a great foreground for the dense mist covered forest. Standing on the wet, slippery and leech infested forest while framing the shot was quite an experience.

Orangutans, the gentle giants of Southeast Asia’s rainforests, embody profound beauty in both appearance and character. Draped in reddish-brown fur, they blend with their tropical habitat, their expressive eyes reflecting wisdom and introspection. These remarkable apes, known for their solitary nature, navigate treetops gracefully, showcasing a serene existence, and are known for their uncanny resemblance to humans, sharing approximately 97% of their DNA with us. Beyond their charm, orangutans are crucial seed dispersers, maintaining rainforest health. However, habitat loss and poaching threaten them. Preserving orangutans requires protecting their habitats, combating illegal activities, raising conservation awareness, ensuring their survival, and honoring life's interconnectedness.

This is a special photograph captured during an art festival in Kolkata. As humans, we are like unformed mediums; without a medium, we are incomplete. Through mediums such as mirrors, photography, water, or the presence of another person, we discover our identity. In the world of social media, everyone strives for beauty by comparing themselves to others, but in reality, we are all beautiful in our own unique way.
